Qatar and Morocco have signed the minutes of a study on projects and development and investment opportunities in Morocco.

Tariq Ali al-Ansari, director at Foreign Ministry's international co-operation department, signed the minutes from the Qatari side, while Moroccan Minister of Economy and Finance Mohamed Boussaid signed on behalf of the Moroccan side.
The minutes include a study on investment and development projects in Morocco in the fields of development of southern Moroccan provinces, reduction of social disparities, and public investment in roads, education, health, water, electricity and ports.
Al-Ansari said the signing of the minutes enhances the strategic partnership between the two countries, and strengthens the close co-operation between the two and expands horizons in different fields for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
He also praised the fraternal relations between the two countries and the continuous efforts of officials in both countries to boost them through co-operation.
Al-Ansari stressed that Qatar is interested in development and investment co-operation as investment promotes growth and mobilises economy to ensure continuity of the projects and thus achieving economic and social balances.
For his part, the Moroccan minister highlighted the strong fraternal ties between the two countries. He also praised the continuous efforts of those in charge of first Qatari grant, which led to the full implementation of the grant in late 2017.
