The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that the lab results of rockmelon from Australia, which were withdrawn from the market, showed it is free of listeria and other types of bacteria such as salmonella and escherichia coli.

The MoPH withdrew the fruit from outlets after receiving a global notification that it might be contaminated with listeria.

As a precautionary measure, a new shipment of rockmelon which arrived after the notification was also detained.
