Temperatures in the country are expected to increase gradually in the coming days, the Qatar Met department has said.
In a report yesterday, the weather office said the average maximum temperature in Doha in the month of March is 27.3C and the average minimum is 17.3C.
The report points out that “mainly settled weather is expected in the country in the coming days” along with a gradual increase in the mercury level. The temperatures are expected to reach the early 30C levels in some areas due to a shift in wind direction to southerly, it adds.
Climate records also show that the highest temperature ever recorded in Doha during March was 39C in 1998.
Meanwhile, today’s forecast says hazy to misty conditions are likely in some places in the early hours of the day, followed by moderate daytime temperature and scattered clouds.
Offshore, it will be hazy to misty in some places and clouds are also expected.
The temperature in Doha is expected to range from 19-29C today; yesterday, it was 17-29C.
