Aspire Zone Foundation (AZF) is putting the finishing touches to the 2nd Aspire International Kite Festival, which begins on Tuesday.
Following the success of last year, the four-day annual event will see 23 international teams participating.
In addition to Qatar, countries participating this year include Austria, Australia, Canada, China, France, Germany, Hungary, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Netherlands, Pakistan, Philippines, Spain, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, the UK and the US. Participating teams are due to arrive in Doha on Monday.
From inception and design to delivery and build, the event has been managed to the very highest international standards by AZF’s vastly experienced and multidisciplinary events management experts, according to a statement from AZF.
"This year’s festival provides yet further evidence of AZF’s ability to execute the best sports and entertainment events for members of the local community in Qatar," AZF added.
