A felicitation ceremony was held at Nuaija campus of Olive International School (OIS) recently to honour the volunteer parents of eco club.
The volunteer parents were welcomed by Jasmine Jose, school magazine in charge and member of ‘Live Green Club.’ She expressed heartfelt gratitude for their dedicated efforts in making the vertical garden project a feat so remarkable and award-winning. The students who dedicatedly worked in making this project a success were also honoured with certificates.
Principal Jacob K M honoured the volunteer parents with certificates without whom this Live Green Club project would not have been a success. He said, “Showing care for the environment is very essential as our future depends on it.”
This event was followed by the most awaited event of the Class Magazine launch. For the first time ever, students were given the opportunity to edit and design their own class magazines. Magazines of Grade IV, V and VI were released by the principal. The ‘Best Editor Award’ was bagged by Mayookha Raghunath and Sancia Shibu of Grade-IV/B. Angeline Joshi and Aaisha Khan of Grade-VI/A won the ‘Best Cover Page Award’ and the ‘Best Class Magazine’ was awarded to Mohammed Razeen and Anna Elsa Anish of Grade-V/A.
