Katara – the Cultural Village has been re-certified for ISO (OHSAS) 18001:2007, 14001:2015 and 9001:2015 in quality, environment and occupational health and safety management system.
The certifications were awarded by Bureau Veritas according to international standards and accreditations.
Katara deputy general manager Ahmed al-Sayed said the ISO certifications demonstrate Katara's commitment to international practices in terms of quality management systems and raising awareness among employees to prevent incidents and risks.
“We consider acquiring this certification as a significant benchmark to Katara and a very unique value for its workers and visitors by focusing on environment, safety and health standards, which enhances our strategy and leads to an incident-free facilities”, al-Sayed noted.
Bureau Veritas Qatar CEO Selim Kasib congratulated Katara for acquiring these ISO certifications for the third year in a row.
“These coveted certifications truly reflect the high level of commitment and leadership from Katara to benchmark best international practices in management systems,” he added.
Bureau Veritas certification manager Vishal Bahat and development manager Makram Abu Fakhreddin were also present.
