The first session of the political consultations between Qatar and the Kyrgyz Republic was held yesterday at the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry headquarters in Bishkek.
The Qatari side was chaired by the Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi, while the Kyrgyz side was headed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyz Republic Nurlan Abdrakhmanov.
The Qatari side included Charge d’Affaires of Qatar’s embassy to Kyrgyzstan Adel Ahmad al-Anzi and Director of the Department of Asian Affairs at Ministry of Foreign Affairs Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Hamar.
The consultations discussed means of enhancing and developing bilateral relations in all fields of mutual interest and exchanging views on developments in the Gulf and the Middle East.
During the consultation session, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Diplomatic Institute of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan.
