Ooredoo has announced the launch of three new Freedom services, each designed to enable its customers to “enjoy the Internet without the worry of bill shock”.

For postpaid customers who are roaming, Ooredoo has made the Ooredoo Passport automatic. Moving forward, when Ooredoo customers spend QR100 on out-of-bundle roaming in a Passport country, it will activate a Passport with 1GB and 100 minutes at no extra charge, the company said in a statement.
To avoid data bill shock for postpaid customers, all Shahry Smart and Mobile Broadband subscribers who use QR70 of data, on top of their main allowance, will receive a 6GB Endless Internet Pack at no extra charge. The Endless Internet Pack will be valid until the end of the current bill cycle and they will not be charged for extra data even if all 6GB of data is consumed.
Hala customers who do not subscribe to an Internet Pack or have a data recharge card active will now automatically be given 100MB for QR3 when they begin to surf the Supernet at standard rates. Any extra data will be charged at QR0.10/MB until 11.59pm, the statement notes.
Talking about the new campaign, Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director of PR and Corporate Communications at Ooredoo, said: “We understand that your communication needs change from month to month, which is why we’re introducing our amazing new Freedom services, each designed to give you the freedom to connect how you need, without the fear of huge bills. This new launch is part of our ongoing investment to ensure that everyone in Qatar can ‘Enjoy the Internet’.”
