Qatar's Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Defence Affairs HE Dr Khalid bin Mohamed al-Attiyah participated in the centenary ceremony of the foundation of Russia's Red Army, which was held Friday in Moscow in the presence of President Vladimir Putin and a number of heads of states and governments and senior world officials and dignitaries.
HE Dr al-Attiyah conveyed to President Putin the greetings and congratulations of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and his wishes of more progress and prosperity to relations between the two countries. For his part, the Russian president entrusted HE Dr al-Attiyah with his thanks and greetings to His Highness the Emir for Qatar's participation in the ceremony, and his wishes of health and wellbeing to the Emir and further wishes of development and growth to relations between the two friendly countries.
