Rwandan President Paul Kagame met with HE the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Mohamed bin Abdulrahman al-Thani on the sidelines of the ongoing Munich Security Conference in Germany.
At the outset of the meeting, the foreign minister conveyed the greetings of His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani to the president and his wishes of development and growth to the Rwandan people.
The Rwandan president asked the foreign minister to convey his greetings to the Emir, wishing him good health and happiness and for Qatari people further progress and prosperity.
They reviewed bilateral relations and ways to boost and develop them, in addition to a number of issues of common concern. 
The Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister also held a number of bilateral meetings on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.
He met separately with Lebanese Defence Minister Yaqub Riyadh al-Saraf, Liechtenstein Foreign Minister Aurelia Frick, Kyrgyzstan Foreign Minister Erlan Abdyldaev, Rwandan Foreign Minister Louise Mushikiwabo, UN Special Envoy to Libya Ghassan Salame, Deputy Secretary General of Nato Rose Gottemoeller, Commissioner-General of UNRWA Pierre Krahenbuhl and Chief Executive Officer of Airbus Defence and Space Tom Enders. The meetings dealt with bilateral relations, means to develop them and promoting co-operation in addition to regional and international issues of common concern.
Sheikh Mohamed participated as a guest of honour in a roundtable "Munich Young Leaders 2018" held on the sidelines of the Munich Conference , with a number of young professionals and decision makers in attendance.
Organised by the Munich Security Conference and Korber Foundation, the roundtable is aimed at giving promising young professionals and future decision-makers the opportunity to participate in important political debates, introduce fresh ideas on the international scene, and strengthen their personal and professional networks. 
To further this goal, the MSC and the Korber Foundation have since 2009 annually organised the Munich Young Leaders round table, bringing together young leaders in the fields of foreign and security policy.
Munich Young Leaders are given the chance to debate and engage with high-ranking personalities and key decision-makers at the annual Munich Security Conference and at additional events throughout the year.
