Qatar Railways Company organised a family sport day for its employees at the Aspire Park on the occasion of the National Sport Day.
It was held in the presence of senior management and companies working on the rail projects and their families.
Mini tournaments were organised for football, basketball and volleyball, as well as aerobics and fitness training sessions led by professional fitness instructors.
Activities for children and women were also held.
Qatar Rail managing director and CEO Abdulla Abdulaziz al-Subaie said: “Qatar Rail is keen to encourage its employees to adopt a healthy lifestyle. 
“Physical activity contributes significantly to reducing the pressures of our day to day work life and achieving physical and psychological balance, which in turn reflects positively on productivity and contributes to enhancing work performance.
“Currently we are developing a special programme for our employees to improve their lifestyle and raise their awareness on health as we strongly believe that National Sport Day message should be embraced all year round.”
