The St Regis Doha has invited people to indulge in a day filled with entertaining activities and celebrate the National Sport Day with “extraordinary experiences”.
The activities are “designed to please all ages”, The St Regis Doha has said in a statement.
On offer is a full schedule of games, competitions and fun activities, taking place today from 9am until 3pm. At 9am, guests will gather around the Olympic-size pool to learn about the schedule of fun games and activities during the opening speech. At 9.25am, the lineup of games will officially start with a walk straight competition, in which participants will make a line of 10 people in each group and walk with their eyes closed.
At 9.45am, the boot camp will be launched with a warm-up involving a 30-minute body weight exercise and a yoga session next to The St Regis pool. Then there will be ‘pass, shoot and goal’ at 10am with the beach soccer on the golden St Regis beach, and the sack race follows at 10.30am with participants hopping their way with bags through to the finish line.
There is an extra dose of fun at 11.30am with the hula hoop challenge with the participation of the little ones, a fun game that will put everyone’s endurance to test. Teamwork will be at its best with volleyball at noon, while some adventure is on the cards at 2pm when participants collect coins spread inside the swimming pool in the Finding Nemo competition.
Also, at 2.30pm, there is an opportunity to cool off and learn a variety of water exercises with a 30-minute aqua-aerobics session led by qualified instructors.
The day’s activities wrap up at 3pm with the raffle draw offering a variety of prizes, including 10 vouchers for day passes to the pool and beach, 10 vouchers worth QR100 each, valid for use at Remède Spa, and 10 vouchers for The St Regis Grand Friday Brunch.
To celebrate National Sport Day with The St Regis Doha signature moments, Gold membership guests can enjoy a special promotion available for 12 months and receive a 50% discount and additional benefits.
These include QR17,000 for single membership with one complimentary lunch or dinner for two persons at Vine restaurant, food only; QR22,000 for couples membership — including two complimentary Cabana usage during weekdays; and QR28,000 for family membership — including three complimentary Cabana usage during weekdays.
