Doha Festival City (DHFC) has announced that it will host an “action-packed day of activities for the entire family” in order to celebrate Qatar’s National Sport Day tomorrow.
The mall will be a “hive of activity”, hosting an indoor obstacle course in Centre Court as well as a popup area where children can test their skills in tennis, golf and football in the South Food Court, DHFC has said in a statement.
Also, DHFC offers a wide range of sport brands under its roof, where shoppers have a chance to find all their sporting gear. “From workout gear and trainers to special equipment for indoor and outdoor activities, the offerings include Adidas, Timberland, The North Face, NBA, Nike, The Athletes Co, Footlocker and Go Sport,” the statement noted.
National Sport Day activities at Doha Festival City will take place from 10am until 8pm.
The obstacle course: “Overcoming obstacles takes both individual fitness and teamwork. Challenge your family on the obstacles course if you think you have what it takes,” DHFC said. Centre Court will be home to seven obstacles; from hurdle jumps, tyre hops and balance beams to wall climbs – this is a “chance to test one’s all-round ability”.
The obstacle course activities take place from 10am until 8pm at the Centre Court, and are open to participants aged eight years and above. Entry is free of charge.
Test your skills: Kids of all ages can come and try out their putting skills at the mini golf station, then test their accuracy at the tennis themed accuracy wall. By using a unique combination of pool and football, teams of two will also have the chance to win at the foot-pool table.
These activities will be held from 10am to 8pm at the South Food Court, and are open to participants aged four years and above. Entry is free.
