The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies, in co-operation with Free University of Berlin, will hold a seminar on problems of concepts and terminology between humanities and social sciences from February 18 to 20.
The seminar is part of a series of specialised workshops between the institute and the Free University of Berlin based on the mission of Doha Institute, which aims to promote Arab participation in the production of knowledge locally and internationally, Doha Institute said yesterday in a statement.
A number of Arab and German researchers in the fields of knowledge and cross-disciplinary studies will attend the seminar, which will discuss selected concepts in many fields of knowledge.
The seminar will focus on bringing up these concepts in the system of intellectual, cognitive and cultural challenges facing researchers.
Roundtables are scheduled during the seminar to adopt a comparative vision to move these concepts across different disciplines, languages and cultures.
