The Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr Yousef Al-Othaimeen, has met Foreign Minister A H Mahmood Ali and discussed further cooperation with Bangladesh.
During the meeting held on Wednesday at State Guesthouse Padma, they also discussed the preparation over the 45th session of Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) of the OIC to be held in May here, said the Foreign Ministry.
Both discussed the 10th conference of the OIC Tourism Ministers, just held here with the theme of ‘Enhancing Regional Integration through Tourism’.
Meanwhile, a delegation from Arab Tourism Organisation, led by its president Dr Bandar Fahad Al-Fehaid, has met State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shahriar Alam at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the State Minister and the delegation members discussed various issues related to tourism in Bangladesh.
The delegation showed interest in providing support for training programmes and infrastructure development for flourishing tourism in Bangladesh further.
