The sixth edition Workers’ Cup, organised by the Qatar Stars League (QSL) and sponsored by the Supreme
Committee for Delivery & Legacy (SC), kicked off at the Al Duhail
Stadium yesterday. Huge crowd turned up for the opening match between SC
contractor Gulf Contracting Company and Generation Amazing programme company Shapoorji Pallonji. More than 640
players and 32 teams representing various companies in Qatar, including
12 former and current contractors engaged on the 2022 FIFA World Cup
projects and seven sides engaged with the SC’s flagship CSR programme Generation Amazing, are vying for honours in this year’s tournament. PICTURE: Ramchand
