His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday cables of condolences to Korean President Moon Jae-in on the victims of the hospital fire in the southeastern city of Milyang, wishing speedy recovery to the injured. HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani sent a similar cable to Korean Prime Minister Lee Nak-yeon. Meanwhile, His Highness the Emir and His Highness the Deputy Emir also sent cables of condolences to Mali President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita on the victims of the landmine explosion that occurred in the centre of the country on Thursday.

Emir sends greetings on Australian national day
 His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad al-Thani sent yesterday cables of congratulations to the Governor-General of Australia, General Peter Cosgrove, on the occasion of his country’s national day. HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa al-Thani also sent a similar cable to Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.
