His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani attended the graduation ceremony of the 13th class of officer cadets of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College, which was held on the College field Thursday morning.

The Qatari national anthem was played upon the Emir's arrival. The commander of the parade then requested the Emir to review the parade staged by 173 graduates.
The graduation ceremony was attended by the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defence of Kuwait Sheikh Nasser Sabah al-Ahmad al-Sabah, a number of ministers and ranking officers of the Qatari Armed Forces and the Ministry of Interior, as well as a number of senior officers of military colleges from friendly countries.
Delivering a speech on the occasion, Commander of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College Brigadier Abdullah Abdulrahman al-Kaabi expressed the pride of the 13th batch at the patronage by His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani of the graduation ceremony.

The 13th batch of officer cadets of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College handing over the flag to the 14th batch.

Al-Kaabi said that the batch of 173 graduates are from among the armed forces, Lekhwiya, the Emiri Guard and the State Security Service, in addition to those from Kuwait, Sudan and the Comoros.
He noted that the college, under the patronage of the Emir, seeks to continue development and modernisation in various military and academic programmes.
Following the speech of the commander of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College After, the graduates staged a military parade -- comprising of slow and normal march - before the Emir.
The Emir then honoured the outstanding graduates.
The 13th batch handed over the flag to the 14th batch. An order for promotions was read out and the graduates took the oath, and the Qatari national anthem was played.
Separately, His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met the heads of military colleges from friendly countries, who called on the Emir. The heads of military colleges were in Qatar to attend the graduation ceremony of the 13th batch of officer cadets of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College.

His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met the heads of a number of military colleges from sisterly and friendly countries, who called on the Emir to greet him on the occasion of their visit to Qatar to attend the graduation ceremony of the 13th batch of officer cadets of Ahmed bin Mohamed Military College on Friday.

During the meeting, the Emir and the leaders of the colleges reviewed a number of topics of mutual interest.
