The Public Works Authority, Ashghal, has announced the closure of one lane on both directions of Khalifa Street, between Post Intersection (known as Al Maha Intersection) and TV Intersection.
The proposed closure, designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, will last until February 20.
During this period, the closure will be implemented in several sections and time intervals to avoid any traffic disruptions. The other two lanes will remain open for traffic, as per the map.
The closure aims to enable construction works as part of a project to develop Khalifa Street and convert TV Roundabout to an intersection.
Ashghal will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Road users have been requested to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure safety.
