Darrius Oldham scored 37 points in Al Sadd’s 95-65 rout of Al Khor in the Qatar Basketball League at Al Gharafa Sports Club yesterday.
A 17-6 lead in the first five minutes of play and Al Sadd were well and truly away as they barely gave Al Khor a whiff of an upset in the one-sided encounter.
Michael Moser chipped in with 22 points for Al Sadd while Khalifa al-Rayes had 16 to complete Al Khor’s misery.
Al Sadd led 81-46 at the end of the third quarter before finishing off the match in style.
For Al Khor, Khobi Williamson scored 21, while Ibnomer Hamed had 16 and Ja’wan Davis 15.
In another match, Qatar Sports Club thrashed Al Ahli 93-76 with Daishon Knight leading the charge with 20 points.
Brandan Kearney (19), Nicholas West (17) and Yousif Mohamed (13) also excelled for the winners. For Al Ahli Nenad Zivchevikk scored 29, while Nemanja Besovic had 20.
Today, Al Wakrah play Al Gharafa at 5.30pm followed by a match between Al Rayyan and Al Arabi.
