The second Paediatric Emergency Medicine Conference organised by Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) and the Department of Emergency Medicine at Sidra Medicine started yesterday with the participation of a large number of attendees.  
The three-day conference taking place at Grand Hyatt Doha is attended by about 500 participants, including physicians, paramedics, pharmacists, allied healthcare providers, dentists and nurses. The event will cover the fundamentals of paediatric emergency medicine.
The conference features both local and international experts who will discuss current best practice in the treatment of common and critical paediatric emergency conditions. A number of specialist areas related to paediatric emergencies for healthcare professionals working in this field of medicine will also be discussed including emergency medical services, nursing, child abuse and paediatric trauma.
Plenary sessions are held in the mornings and sessions dedicated to participants’ individual learning needs will be held in the afternoons.
