Doha
The Public Works Authority (Ashghal) has announced that it will close a one-direction service road in front of Ezdan Mall for a distance of around 400m from Sunday.
This is being done to enable construction works for upgrading Umm Lekhba Interchange (Landmark Interchange), the authority has said in a statement.
The closure has been designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During the closure, road users wishing to exit Ezdan Mall will be required to use the rear exit, which has been expanded to reach Al Markhiya Street (Al Hana Street) towards the Thani Bin Jassim traffic signal, and then take a U-turn towards Umm Lekhba Interchange (Landmark Interchange). From there, they can proceed towards different destinations, as shown on the attached map.
Ashghal has said it will instal road signs advising motorists of the closure. It has also requested all road users to abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
