Doha: Qatar’ sailing champions ended their 2017 season on high note by displaying impressive performance in the Laser Europa Cup, which took place in Croatia from 28-31 December, 2017.
The event brought together world’s best 100 sailors who competed in a world high class Championship amid a cool weather condition and strong winds. Qatar’s champion Waleed al-Sharshani came first in race six (Laser standard), defeating competitors from Croatia, Ukraine, Italy, Australia and Germany.
Tunisia’s national football team to train at Aspire
In preparation for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia, Tunisia’s national football team arrived in Doha yesterday to attend a training camp in Aspire Zone Foundation. The training sessions will kick off today at 6:30 pm at Aspire Zone Foundation’s outdoor pitch No. 8, which is accessible for football fans who would like to observe the sessions from spectators stands. Coach Nabil Maaloul has chosen 26 players for the training camp.
