Play, described as the fastest growing on-demand video streaming
service in the Middle East and North Africa region, and Ooredoo
yesterday announced a new collaboration to provide a vast catalogue of
premium Hindi content for viewers to enjoy on their Ooredoo tv.
The
new Bollywood content will further supplement Starz Play’s existing
10,000 hours of the best Hollywood movies, documentaries, children’s
entertainment, same-day-as-the-US series, and Arabic content in full HD
and 4K.
Existing and new customers can now access the new Hindi
content by pressing the ‘Home’ button on their Ooredoo tv remote
control, then selecting ‘Clubs’ and the ‘Yupp Flix’ icon on the main
screen.
All new Ooredoo Fibre Home Entertainment customers can enjoy
free access to the Starz Play service, and Ooredoo tv customers not on
the new Fibre plans can subscribe to Starz Play for QR50 per month.
Speaking
about the new content, Manar Khalifa al-Muraikhi, director of PR and
Corporate Communications, Ooredoo Qatar, said: “We are delighted that
Starz Play has enabled our viewers to enjoy Hindi content on demand.
Ooredoo tv is becoming the biggest and best choice for entertainment in
Qatar, and we look forward to announcing further updates in 2018”
Starz
Play has confirmed that the service will also be offering content in
other Indian regional languages such as Tamil and Malayalam in the near
future which will also be available to Ooredoo tv customers.
Ooredoo
tv is available now via Ooredoo Shops, Starlink, TechnoBlue and Jumbo
outlets. The service has no upfront charges, no equipment costs and no
ongoing contracts. Furthermore, existing Mozaic TV customers who migrate
to Ooredoo tv will be awarded a 30-day free subscription to Starz Play.
