In collaboration with the Palestinian Ministry of Public Works, Qatar Charity rebuilt the tower, which was destroyed during the war in Gaza in 2014.
In a statement, Qatar Charity’s Palestine Bureau director Mohammed Abu Haloub thanked His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani, the Qatari government and its people, for their support to the Palestinian people and their generous help to enable all the displaced to return home.
“It is an absolute pleasure to announce the completion of works in Al Dafer Tower, as the project has been fully funded by Qatari support at QR8mn,” Haloub said.
He stressed the important role that Qatar Charity plays for the betterment of the Palestinian society as part of its humanitarian mission to advocate the rights of the less privileged.
Qatar Charity also spearheaded the furnishing of hundreds of units for the poor and needy families.

Minister of Public Works in Palestine Naji Sarhan also thanked Qatar and its people for their continuous support to Palestine in various sectors, citing its role in the reconstruction of Gaza strip and the improvement of its infrastructure.
Sarhan lauded Qatar Charity’s efforts in sheltering those affected by war in Gaza strip, and its unwavering support to implement construction projects in the region.
The Al Dafer Tower project forms part of a series of reconstruction projects conducted by Qatar Charity in the Gaza Strip, including the reconstruction of 400 housing units destroyed during the war.
Qatar Charity also spearheaded the furnishing of hundreds of units for the poor and needy families, as well as supporting other sectors such as health and education, and conducting dozens of relief and development projects.
