The Directorate of Defence Communication at the Ministry of Defence has announced that the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst, UK, in collaboration with Ahmad bin Mohamed Military College, has carried out an exercise dubbed “The dart of the Oryx” (2017).

The exercise for the students of Sandhurst Academy was conducted from December 7 to 14 in the fields of Kalayel in Qatar. The exercise was part of a memorandum of understanding for collaboration and partnership between Ahmad bin Mohamed Military College and the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

The British personnel were transported by the Emiri Air Force transport wing. The conclusion of the exercise was attended by the Commander of the Sandhurst Group, Paul Nansen, and the military attaché at the British embassy in Doha, Patric O'Donnell.

Ahmad bin Mohamed Military College Commander General Abdullah Abdullah al-Kaabi and the dean’s assistant General Abdul Aziz Saleh al-Salaiti attended the exercise.

On the sidelines of the exercise, a co-ordination meeting on how to develop co-operation was held between the two sides and Ahmad bin Mohamed Military College chairman and Institutes Authority, Major General Hamad bin Mohamed al-Nuaimi.
