Ashghal will remove the existing westbound diversion on Al Luqta Street between Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange and Al Wajba Bridge and shift the traffic onto the main carriageway.
The detour, designed in collaboration with the General Directorate of Traffic, will be in place on Sunday (December 31) to facilitate the construction of the service roads, utilities and landscaping of Khalifa Avenue.
Road travellers from Doha to Dukhan through Al Luqta Street can use the main carriageway in place of the existing diversion. Travelers heading for Bani Hajer area through Al Luqta Street can use Al Ghawth Street on the right after Bani Hajer Interchange (as shown on the map).
Road users travelling from Al Rayyan Al Jadeed Street wishing to go to Dukhan, will continue to turn right onto Al Luqta Street and take a U-turn towards Dukhan Road.
