Fath Al Khair 3 voyage has reached safely its second stop on Thursday at the Port of Khasab in Oman. The voyage is scheduled to arrive in Qatar on December 18 to mark the National Day, Katara the Cultural Village Foundation said in a statement.

The dhow was received in Oman by Mohamed bin Ahmed al-Kamaly, a member of the Omani Shura Council representing Khasab State; Qatar's Faisal bin Rashid al-Nuaimi, and other senior Omani officials and dignitaries.
In a speech at the arrival ceremony, the captain expressed his great appreciation on the warm welcome for Fath Al Khair 3 voyage, thanking the Omani Ministry of Culture and Heritage for all the support given to the voyage and for organising a magnificent reception ceremony.

"This voyage carries a message of love and fraternity launched from Qatar and addressed to Oman passing through Kuwait," he said, stressing that the voyage embodies the greatest values of culture and heritage unity among the brothers in Kuwait and Oman, who have common marine heritage.
He further pointed out that such a voyage is part of Katara's strategy to revive the heritage of the ancestors and promote it among the new generations.
Al-Kamaly welcomed the arrival of the voyage and considered it as an opportunity to educate young people about the marine history of the region.
