Kavrepalanchowk Service Society (KSS) recently celebrated its first anniversary at Grand Hall in Doha. Hari Prasad Aryal, Second Secretary at the Nepali embassy, attended the programme as the chief guest. Other notable guests included RK Sharma, Bimal Subedi, Kumar Karki, Chanak Pokharel, Mohammad Aziz Ali, TB Karki, Kamal Ghimire, Sagar Nepal, and Ganesh Banjade. The programme was divided into two sections – formal and cultural. The formal programme was hosted by Sagar Adhikari. KSS General Secretary Gaurav Adhikari presented the yearly progress report of his organisation. The musical/cultural programme was hosted by Rama Timilsina and Kiran Gautam.
KSS felicitated two journalists active in Qatar – MP Pokharel and Dil Kumar Shrestha. Folk singers Reet Kumar Shrestha and Nanu Ghale, comedian Rajesh Timilsina, Rama Timilsina and Kiran Gautam were also honoured during the programme.
