HE the Minister of Culture and Sports Salah bin Ghanem bin Nasser al-Ali met with the Minister of Sports of France Laura Flessel on the sidelines the Major International Sporting Events (MISE) conference in Paris.
During the meeting, they talked about sports, the importance of strengthening it and the methods followed in France, in addition to the tournaments that France is preparing to host.
The Minister spoke about the Academic Bridge Program and its effective role and programmes such as marketing, sponsorship and organisation of sporting events.
The Minister stressed that France and Qatar enjoy excellent relations, pointing out the importance of benefiting from the French experience in organising major events, not only with 2022 World Cup in mind but also other events in the future.
During the conference, Adviser to the Minister of Sports Abdulrahman Musallam al-Dosari presented an address entitled “Achievements and Sports Facilities in the State of Qatar”.
Several countries including Qatar, Germany, the United States of America, Ivory Coast, Morocco, India, China, Japan, Mexico and Argentina are taking part in the MISE event.
