Imran belted 60 off 29 balls as Hanan XII beat CCRC Warriors by 29 runs to win the 23rd Division 1 Gulf Incon-Metabo tournament at the Losail Cricket Grounds.
Imran’s knock contained seven sixes and one four and he was ably supported by Parvez and Azhar who chipped in with 31 and 23, respectively to help the team post 196 in 20 overs
For CCRC Warriors, Mohsin, Azhar and Sajid claimed three wickets each.
In reply, CCRC Warriors started confidently and at one stage were 61 for 2 in six overs. But the Hanan bowlers built up pressure and eventually restricted them to 167 in 19.1 overs.
Mazhar with 32 and Farukh with 28 were the main scorers.
Imran was adjudged man of the match.
Earlier the teams observed a two-minute silence to honour the memory of veteran IBQ player Bacchu Nazareth who passed away on November 24.
Sajjad Ahmed Khan, senior sales and marketing manager, Gulf Incon-Metabo, along with Ravi Chandran,  senior stores supervisor, were among those of gave away the nearly 250 prizes on offer.
