Askar Industrial Co is supporting the ‘Made in Qatar 2017’ exhibition as ‘Sponsor of Miscellaneous Industries Sector’, private sector leader Qatar Chamber announced in a statement yesterday.
The expo is organised by Qatar Chamber, in cooperation with the Ministry of Energy and Industry, on a 29,000sqm area at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre from December 14 to 17.
With the participation of over 300 Qatari companies and factories, the exhibition aims to promote locally-manufactured products and enhancing Qatar’s industry in general.
Qatar Chamber head of administrative and financial affairs Hussain Yousef al-Abdul Ghani and Askar CEO Nabil Nadeem Askar signed the sponsorship agreement at the chamber’s headquarters yesterday.
Askar said the company took part in previous editions of the expo, “which is considered as a catalyst for the Qatari industry and a motive for manufacturers and local companies.”
He expressed his gratitude to Qatar Chamber for holding the exhibition, which provides “a good opportunity for visitors to explore locally-manufactured products.” Askar also paid tribute to the country’s support for the industry sector, adding that he is looking forward to see more support in the future, “considering that there is an increasing interest towards promoting and fostering these products.”
Al-Abdul Ghani said Qatar Chamber extends its “deep gratitude” to the company for its sponsorship, and expressed the chamber’s appreciation “to have a leading company such as Askar in its sponsors list.”
He said the expo is a platform for exchanging expertise among manufacturers and visitors, as well as promoting local products.
