The Ministry of Economy and Commerce, in collaboration with Doha Marketing Services Company (Domasco), has announced the recall of Honda Accord, Accord Coupe 2.4 and Accord Coupe 3.5 models of 2013-2016 over a fault in battery sensor.
The MEC said the recall campaign comes within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicles’ defects and repair them.
The MEC said that it will co-ordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out. Qatar-Japan visa waiver agreement takes effect

Qatar and Japan announced yesterday the beginning of mutual visa exemption’s procedures for holders of diplomatic and special passports from the two countries and the granting of entry permits at airports for 90 days as of January 2018.
The official minutes were exchanged between the two countries during a ceremony held at the Japanese Foreign Ministry in the presence of Secretary-General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr Ahmed bin Hassan al-Hammadi and the Director General of the Middle Eastern and African Affairs Bureau at the Japanese Foreign Ministry Hiroshi Oka.
The ceremony was also attended by Qatar’s ambassador to Japan Yousef bin Mohamed Bilal, Director of Asian Affairs Department at the Foreign Ministry Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Hamar, members of the delegation accompanying the Foreign Ministry’s secretary-general and senior Japanese foreign ministry’s officials.

Qatar calls for intensifying efforts to curb human trafficking
Qatar has stressed that the increasing number of victims of the phenomenon of trafficking in persons, especially women and children, is placing greater responsibility on the international community and requires intensifying efforts to meet the commitments that no one is left behind in the implementation of development goals and Sustainable Development of 2030.
This came in a statement delivered by Abdulrahman Yacoub al-Hammadi, Charge d’Affaires of Qatar’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York, at the open debate of the Security Council on “Trafficking in Persons in Conflict”.
Qatar warned that the danger of trafficking in persons was aggravated by the use of terrorist groups to attract and recruit young people to carry out terrorist operations or to benefit from trafficking in persons to carry out such operations.

Kuwaiti delegation concludes visit to  Audit Bureau
An official delegation from the State Audit Bureau of Kuwait concluded a three-day visit to the Audit Bureau. The visit aimed at developing co-operation between the two sides and exchanging experiences. A statement issued by the Audit Bureau yesterday said that the visit focused on several topics, including the future vision of the Audit Bureau in Qatar, audit methodologies and business and institutional risks. During the visit, the Kuwaiti delegation was briefed on the experience of Qatar’s Audit Bureau in contracting with the international accounting and auditing office (Ernst & Young).
