Ashghal has announced the complete closure of Al Hamd Street from Al Wajbah Roundabout to Ermaila Street. This is being done to complete road construction and utility works.
The proposed road closure, on the local roads to the south of Education City, has been designed in co-ordination with the General Directorate of Traffic. It will commence on Friday (November 24) and will be in place until May 2018.
During the period, road users travelling from Al Shafi Street who would normally access Al Wajbah Street via Al Hamd Street and vice versa will now be required to use Ermaila Street instead and follow the diversion route.
A 260m section of Al Hamd Street connecting Al Shafi Street and Ermaila Street will remain open and facilitate two-way traffic flow.
