Kirkuk marketblast condemned
Qatar has strongly condemned the truck explosion in a market in the Iraqi southern city of Kirkuk, which resulted in a number deaths and injuries. In a statement yesterday, the Foreign Ministry reiterated Qatar’s firm stance on rejecting violence and terrorism, regardless of its motives and reasons. The ministry affirmed Qatar’s solidarity with Iraq in all measures taken to maintain its security and stability. The statement expressed Qatar’s condolences to the families of the victims, the government and the people of Iraq, wishing the injured speedy recovery.

Qatar takes part in Milipol Paris 2017
Qatar is taking part in the Milipol Paris 2017 exhibition, which began yesterday with a delegation headed by HE Director General of Public Security Staff Major General Saad bin Jassim al-Khulaifi. Milipol is held alternately between Doha and Paris, and is attended by a large number of major international companies from around the world specialised in internal security. The four-day exhibition focuses on the latest technologies in the fields of security and service, including data protection, information and communication security, economic and industrial security.
