Chamber and Saint Vincent and The Grenadines Chamber of Industry and
Commerce have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to enhance
co-operation and exchange of information and meetings between the two
sides.
The MoU was signed on the sidelines of a meeting held between
Qatar Chamber and a delegation from Saint Vincent and The Grenadines led
by Minister of Economic Planning Camillo Gonsalves.

Gonsalves said that his country has many investment opportunities in
the agricultural sector, where fruit and vegetable farming is a major
pillar of the national economy, as well as the tourism sector, as Saint
Vincent and The Grenadines has the most natural attractions in the
Caribbean, making it a favourite destination for tourists in the area.
The
minister added that Saint Vincent and The Grenadines has relations with
Qatar in the political, social, cultural and scientific fields,
expressing the hope that the business owners and the private sector in
both countries would contribute to strengthening the trade and economic
relations.
For his part, Vice-Chairman of Qatar Chamber Mohamed bin
Ahmed bin Tawar said that the agreement aims to encourage businessmen in
the two sides to establish investment partnerships that would promote
bilateral relations in the commercial sector in both countries.
He called on Qatari businessmen to learn about the investment opportunities available in Saint Vincent and The Grenadines.
