Strong winds are expected in parts of the country today, the Qatar Met department has said. Offshore areas, too, are likely to see strong winds today along with high seas, according to the weather report.

Winds (northwesterly) will blow at 12-20 knots inshore, reaching a high of 25 knots in some places at times, while offshore it will be 10-20 knots, going up to 30 knots.
The detailed report also says it will be hazy inshore in the early hours of the day, followed by moderate temperature during the day as well as slight to blowing dust in certain areas. Scattered clouds are also likely.
Slightly dusty conditions have been forecast offshore, where the sea level may rise to 12ft occasionally.
Earlier, the Met department had issued a marine warning from today until early Tuesday, advising people to avoid venturing into the sea during this period.
The temperature, meanwhile, is expected to range from 24C to 33C in Doha today, while the minimum elsewhere will be 19C (Al Khor, Wakrah, etc).
Yesterday, a minimum of 17C was recorded in Karana and other places, while in Doha it was 24C.
