Qatar national team coach Felix Sanchez has named a squad of 23 players for the forthcoming international friendlies against the Czech Republic and Iceland.
Qatar will play the Czech Republic on November 11 and Iceland on November 14, both at the Al Duhail Stadium.
The friendlies are part of a three-match series in Doha, with the Czech Republic and Iceland squaring off on November 8.
A QFA official said coach Felix Sanchez will be looking to try out some young players in a bid to form a strong side in the build-up to the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Earlier in October, Qatar beat Singapore 3-1 in Doha before being beaten by the Caribbean island country of Curacao.
Iceland, who excelled at the Euro 2016 tournament, their first foray into the glitzy world of international football, will also feature at next year’s World Cup 2018.
In 2016, The Scandinavian side presented a fierce appetite for tough football by beating former world champions England before losing in the quarter-finals to hosts France. This great form continued throughout their 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign as they dominated Group I which featured the likes of Croatia, Ukraine and Turkey.
The Czech Republic, a traditional powerhouse in international football, did not qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup.
Czech Republic competed in Group C in the European zone where they finished third behind Germany and Northern Ireland.
