LuLu Group, in association with Qatar Cancer Society (QCS), has conducted a breast cancer awareness programme.
All showroom staff of LuLu Hypermarket branches throughout this month will continue wearing T-shirts that carry a message spreading awareness on the importance of preventing cancer.
The initiative coincides with breast cancer awareness campaign, which falls on October every year.
Omar al-Twaissi, marketing co-ordinator at QCS appreciated the efforts made by LuLu Group in supporting the organisation in the campaign and thanked the LuLu management for the initiative. He also sought the co-operation of all concerned in Qatar in running the campaign to spread awareness about the disease.
“LuLu Group has always been at the forefront of supporting such activities as part of their ongoing corporate social responsibility drive,” he stated.
Besides raising awareness, the occasion provides an opportunity to highlight the breast cancer-related health services readily available in Qatar.
