The Qatar General Electricity & Water Corp (Kahramaa) and a delegation from the electricity sector of Russia held discussions yesterday to explore opportunities for more joint ventures in the electricity projects in Qatar.
The meeting was held in the presence of Kahramaa’s Electricity Network Affairs director and senior engineer Abdulla al-Theyab. Many other senior officials including departments’ managers and section heads from Kahramaa and representatives of the companies from Russia and Qatar attended the deliberations.
At the meeting, audio-visual presentations focusing on the business opportunities in Qatar were made by Kahramaa and other participating companies. There were also presentations about the current status of some of the ongoing projects, and possibilities of forming business relationships among others.
Through their presentations, the visiting Russian companies highlighted presentations of their ongoing mega projects in different parts of the world.
The visitors expressed happiness at the discussions that took place between the representatives of Kahramaa and participating companies.
The parties discussed the possibilities of joint co-operation for the companies’ involvement in the Qatar Power Transmission System Expansion Projects.
