The conference is designed to provide a

provide efficient solutions to enhance the education system at the local
and regional levels, the statement notes.
“As an organizing partner to TEDxAlDAfnaED, Qatar University demonstrates its commitment to providing
its students with opportunities that enrich their experience and bring
them together with experts from various institutions to exchange their
ideas and expertise, which will contribute to advancing the education
sector,” al-Yafei said.
“We, at Qatar Foundation, are proud to
collaborate in this event that aims to drive the education sector in
Qatar. The provision of quality education for Qatar’s youth has been,
and remains, at the core of Qatar Foundation’s mission, as we believe it
is the basis of development and the only way to unlock human
potential,” al-Kubaisi said.
“In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. The event is called TEDxAlDafnaED , where x = independently organized TED event. At TEDxAlDafnaED event, TEDTalks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.”
Details of the event were announced yesterday.
