Doha Festival City (DHFC) will open its 4.5km Outdoor Leisure Trail on October 21, providing families and fitness lovers a one-of-its-kind track for walking, running, and biking activities.
With temperatures starting to drop gradually, Qatar residents and visitors can enjoy these outdoor offerings at DHFC.
The track, which surrounds the mall, includes a running and walking path, as well as an adjacent cycling lane with technical trail features specifically designed for mountain bikes.
On the opening day, from 8am to noon, visitors can bike, walk and run around the track and enjoy the event village with extreme bike shows, fun family activities and festival style entertainment for free.
All participants will be receiving a race pack upon registration, according to DHFC.
Extreme sports experts, Xtôrk, will be hosting a BMX area where spectators can watch professional riders perform jaw-dropping stunts.

There are three shows lined up, each 15 minutes long. The professional BMX riders will also be giving audiences a special chance to try out the BMX bike and stunts under their personal supervision.
Throughout the morning, there will be sessions for all abilities. Participants can either compete with their friends or meander around the track at their own pace.
Organisers also scheduled 4.5 and 9km running sessions, 4.5, 9, and 13.5 km cycling sessions, as well as a 4.5km walking session.
“We recommend bringing your own equipment to enjoy the fun, however, a limited number of bikes, helmets, elbow and knee pads are available to rent. Please note, helmets are mandatory for all cyclists,” DHFC noted.
“For the little ones who are still learning, there will be children’s area for bike tutorials from the professionals. With or without stabilisers, starting anew or improving their balance – we’ve got you covered,” DHFC noted, adding that pre-registration can be made online.
