Al-Gannas Qatari Society has said preparations are underway for the fourth edition of the pre-hunting season falcon championship, set to be held from November 1 to 4.
The championship is part of the Society’s efforts to prepare falconers for the next hunting season, it has said in a press statement. 
Registration will be open for all Qatari falconers from October 23 until 25, from 6pm to 9pm, at the headquarters of the society located in Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation, Building 33.
Khalid bin Saeed al-Sulaiti, president of the championship, said there are attractive prizes for the participants. The first-place winner will get QR35,000, the second-place winner QR25,000 and the third-place winner QR15,000. 
The prize money for those finishing fourth and fifth is QR5,000 each.
