Milaha, a maritime and logistics conglomerate based in Qatar, has launched a mobile application that allows its customers to track their shipments around the world using a bill of lading ID or container number.
Through the new, free app -- “Milaha NVOCC Tracking” (iOS, Android) -- customers will also have access to the company’s NVOCC (non-vessel operating common carrier) voyage schedules, arranged by time or location, and will also be able to provide feedback on the company’s services, a Milaha spokesman said.
Further upgrades to the app are already underway, and would include the ability to make rate requests and shipment bookings directly through the app.
"Very few NVOCCs and main-line operators have a similar mobile tracking app, which adds a layer of flexibility and accessibility for our customers as it complements our existing online tracking system,” Milaha president and chief executive Abdulrahman Essa al-Mannai said.
The launch of the “Milaha NVOCC Tracking” app comes as the Milaha group continues to enhance its diverse portfolio of marine and logistics services. The company has recently expanded into several new shipping routes and accelerated the deployment of new supply chain solutions across a number of countries. Milaha’s NVOCC services now cover 20 ports in the Middle East and Indian subcontinent.
