Katara – the Cultural Village Foundation, in co-operation with the Youth Hobbies Centre, has launched a photography exhibition titled *My lens in love of Qatar.

The inauguration took place in Building 18 on Monday in the presence of Katara human resources manager Saif al-Dosari and photography enthusiasts.

Participants of the exhibition were asked to capture moments that expressed their feelings towards the country.

On display is a collection of pictures that portray the photographers’ solidarity with Qatar.

The inaugural ceremony included a session where 10 photographers were awarded for their work.

First place went to Hend Mohamed Abdullah who won QR10,000, while Manar Abdullah Ahmad finished second and received QR7,000.

The third position went to Said Mohamed Firos, who was awarded QR5,000.

The other winners were gifted a prize money of QR1,000 each.

Katara said in a statement that the photography contest was launched to document the blockade that the country has been experiencing.
