His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani met with Paraguay President Horacio Cartes at the headquarters of Qatar’s Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York yesterday on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations and means of developing them, in addition to discussing a number of current issues in regional and international arenas. The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Emir and members of the delegation accompanying the President of Paraguay.

Talks during the meeting dealt with ways to promote bilateral relations, especially in the economic and investment fields, as well as issues of mutual concern.
