Malayalam actress Kavya Madhavan, the wife of actor Dileep, yesterday applied for anticipatory bail in the abduction and molestation case of a fellow actress in February.
The Kerala High Court said it would hear her appeal tomorrow.
The court also will rule today Dileep’s bail appeal, his fourth. All his earlier bail pleas have been rejected by the court.
Dileep was arrested for his alleged involvement in the conspiracy behind the kidnapping of the actress.
The superstar has been lodged in the Aluva sub-jail since July 10.
Kavya’s “hurried” move comes amid speculation that she too might be arrested.
The prime accused in the case, Pulsar Suni, and his accomplice were arrested a week after the actress was abducted on February 17 on her way from Thrissur to Kochi. She was dumped outside film director Lal’s residence.
The police traced the conspiracy to Dileep and he was arrested.
Ahead of Dileep’s arrest, the police probe team had also questioned Kavya and her mother.
Dileep was earlier married to actress Manju Warrier, while Kavya was married to a computer engineer.
