His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad al-Thani discussed with French President Emmanuel Macron the strong bilateral relations and means of enhancing and developing them in all fields to serve the common interests of the two countries.

During the meeting held at the Elysee Palace in Paris on Friday evening, His Highness the Emir and the French president discussed the latest developments of the Gulf crisis, and its repercussions, as well as efforts to resolve it through dialogue and diplomatic means through the mediation by Kuwait, which is supported by the two countries.
The two sides also discussed a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest and exchanged views on them.
They also discussed means of enhancing co-operation in combating the financing of terrorism and working together to address its causes.
The meeting was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying His Highness the Emir, as well as a number of ministers and senior officials from the French side.
