The Duke of Seville Francisco de Borbon y Escasany visited Katara - the Cultural Village Foundation on Thursday. The dignitary was received by Katara general manager Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim al-Sulaiti who hosted a VIP luncheon on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Dr al-Sulaiti explained that Katara receives VIP delegates continuously, which ideally approves its position as a cultural hub that reflects Qatar's heritage.
“Katara is keen to build communication bridges between people from all walks of life,” he said.
Post the tour at Katara, the Duke of Seville expressed his utmost admiration of the facilities as it entails a wide range of services that serves innovative artists, locally and internationally. The visiting dignitary also praised the efforts accomplished to host various activities and festivals throughout the year, which acts as a window to all cultures. At the end of the visit, Dr al-Sulaiti presented a souvenir to Francisco de Borbon.
