Qatari duo Mohamed Ahmed Shweitar and Abdulaziz Balghaith yesterday won the bronze medal for the diving competition of the 3m moving ladder at the 9th Asian Championship in the Uzbek capital of Tashkent.
In the process, the duo retained the medal they had also won in the last edition of the competition in Bangkok, Thailand, in 2015.
This is the second medal for the Qatar diving team, with Balghaith having won gold in the moving ladder competition on the opening day of the competition.
The Qatar swimming team, comprising Abdul Aziz Hassan al-Obaidli, Abdulrahman Hisham Mohamed, Abdul Rahim al-Ali Hussein and Firas Murad al-Saidi, are also participating in the same tournament.
